End-of-season Transfer Window
We are pleased to announce that in the end-of-season transfer window, i.e. from Day 53 of each season to Day 3 of the next season, managers will be allowed to search all leagues each day for player transfers.
The Taxman cometh!
One of the issues with the previous version of IAG 2, in particular during the latter seasons, was inflation getting out of control within the game. This led to extremely high prices in the transfer market and the dominance of a small number of clubs. We have been working hard to plan how to control this, for the benefit of all players.
As the subtitle suggests, the taxman is coming to IAG! This is to stop the IAG economy growing too quickly and the aim of it is to take excess money out of the game. It?s important to get the financial model of the game right and therefore this policy will be monitored and reviewed continuously to ensure the correct balance is maintained. This will be introduced at the end of this season, with taxation based on profits from season 1.
So how will this work in practice? Clubs will be taxed on the profit they make during the season and there is a structure of four tax bands.
0 to 2,000,000 - 0% tax (no tax is paid on seasonal losses)
2,000,001 to 5,000,000 - 10% tax
5,000,001 to 10,000,000 - 20% tax
10,000,001 and upwards - 40% tax
As an example a team making a 12m profit will pay the following taxation:
First 2m = 0
Next 3m x 10% = 300,000
Next 5m x 20% = 1,000,000
Next 2m x 40% = 800,000
Total Tax = 2,100,000.
End of season monies are tax free.
To check the club's current profit, go to Club> Finances or click
here and your profit is shown on the right hand column of the lower table.
Summary
We would also like to reassure you that the whole financial model of Itsagoal will be constantly reviewed. For example, it may be that we adjust areas such as taxation levels and prize money, and other aspects of income and expenditure as the game develops. We have plans to introduce additional forms of income from sources such as advertising and stadium sponsorship, etc., and so it may be that further adjustments are needed to keep the game in balance.
Best of luck for the rest of the season!
