Where's the incredible run of injuries thread gone?
A moment of silence please for the good old "complain about your injury list" thread. Rest in peace.

Anyway...

3 days into the new season and we already have 2 centrebacks out injured. Fortunately we have strength in depth to cover now, but another injury in that position will leave us scrambling, and the game does love to target specific positions with injuries as we all know.

3 injuries in 5 days, at this rate I will run out of players by Day 40

(Yes I know the others will be back by then, let me have my moan please.)

Said this in another thread. Maybe just get new physios?

I've found that better staff from 5500 to 6500 didn't necessarily mean that the higher rated were good.

My youth academy trainers were better at 5500 pushing potential than my laggy youth development currently

I've never seen any evidence that having better physios reduces the number of injuries. The top clubs still get as many or more injuries than lower ranked clubs. My experience is that better physios simply return your players from injuries faster. But we can do a study of this, if you like. At the end of the season, let's count the number of injuries sustained by the top 10 clubs in the game and the clubs ranked 991st to 1000, and see if better physios really do prevent injuries from occurring in the first place.

Haha... I saw this thread and had to laugh!

The original incredible run of injuries thread was mine from several seasons back.

Today, we had a double whammy of injuries. Goldsmith & Navarro are both strikers, both 91 rated and both injured in the same minute (who'd have thunk it?).

Not sure how that can happen if I'm honest, but the physio will be earning his wages and providing me with an assessment tonight, so more later.

If you want to provide some clues, be my guest! Cheers.

Correct. Physios only help with injuries, they don't prevent them as such.

There are far too many scenarios that can lead to injuries, not least the state of the pitch but this game doesn't employ groundsman, so that's just one example without going into depth about how the game is coded (which is I think the most plausible explanation for my earlier post regarding injury to more than one player on the same side in the same minute).

Goals can also be scored in the same minute, which is unlikely in real life due to celebrations etc., but this backs up my theory that two players would have been injured in my side & it just so happens, it coded them to occur in the same minute.

Extraordinary... my second team now has an identical scenario for the away team... two players injured, both in the same minute.

Navarro has a broken nose. Out for 3 days.

Goldsmith is a bit more serious with a knee injury (cartiledge). Out for 9 days.

The interesting part is that both my first and second team matches had double injuries at the same time. I'm not looking at this in a conspiracy theory kind of way, as it is code and there are no human or real life factors involved, but can anyone shed light on why it happens... if for no other reason than to satisfy my curiosity!

Both went for a bouncing ball to knock it over the line and obviously Navarro stooped to head the ball in and Goldsmith went to nudge it over the line with his knee and caught his nose ?..sorted
