That's what I thought/hoped.

But as for what happened? Are you sure he still shows as training Long-range Passing in your training page? Did he get a knock in the match he played yesterday? I'll assume his substitution in yesterday's game was planned.
I'm starting to doubt myself now but I'm sure he showed as LRP (he does now) - I checked training almost as soon as the update happened. The only way that could have happened is if I for some reason put him on rest before the update and then took him back off it again, without remembering either of those times.
As for the injury idea - well I had another player get injured in training last night and he's in the treatment room. Cunningham isn't in treatment and didn't show up on the injury update message. The only thing I can think there is he had a training injury that was so minor it was fixed by the time the update came to evaluate my injury list. I can believe that.

Well, judging by the looks of things, Cunningha's fatigue has ticked over the 20 mark at some point in the last update or two and simultaneously he's stopped training as well as he was previously. Maybe there's a correlation, maybe not, but with all other things remaining the same it would seem to be the logical conclusion.
A reasonable idea but check Daviau - 20 fatigue and he was on LRP too, albeit medium intensity Vs high for Cunningham. In fact, Daviau's fatigue went down by four over the update whereas Cunningham had no change. I've also had player train at much higher fatigue with no issues, although I can't guarantee it was in LRP specifically.
Two theories then:
-different players have different fatigue levels at which they stop training and Cunningham's is much lower than most, so low it stops dead even before there's a slowdown
-specific training/intensity combinations have different fatigue checkpoints and high intensity LRP is particularly low
I'm going to train him again tonight and see what happens.
