Sure.
My staff applications came back 1 day after I passed 3500.
I have a two prong approach. To select the highest rated staff in each position to maximise staff average and then select another staff in the same position if he has really good attributes for his position (ie outfield coaching for a coach).
Hopefully the highest rated staff also has the best individual attributes but that doesn?t always happen.
Sometimes, maybe at the higher levels I will search for staff multiple times.
My staff average is 35 and my highest rated staff is 37.
Also as mentioned, new staff also give your clubs rating points a nice boost as staff count 8% towards club rating.
Hope that helps. | |

I didn't see this! Thanks, AKRAZY
I should probably review that, too. It was quite the test to do it but I used all the same principles as what is described here. Just a bit more focused purchasing rules for myself for a few seasons in advance (only buy 80+ potential players...seriously, stop looking at those other players! ).

I hope one day to get back above 6501 and who knows, maybe in 2025 I'll be able to post about 7501, but let's not get ahead of ourselves
I think you could revise your 2025 target now...8501 thread coming soon?
As someone who is eyeing the relative foothills of 5501 (still lofty heights from where I'm sitting) this was an interesting read - thanks for putting it all down.

| Quote: Originally posted by Piper_FC As most are aware, the staff who respond to advertisements improve when your club rating points pass 3501, 4501, 5501, 6501, etc. Therefore, I made it a goal to get to 6501 rating points in the last season and attempted to pull out all of the stops to do so. Here's the story, may it help in your own quest to get to your club's next level.
In season 21, my highest club rating had been 5553 and I had gotten the associated staff to get me up to the 5501 level of staff across the board. It was a great achievement and occurred largely due to a major sale of Ramondelli who was a strong STK in his late 20s. His sale netted somewhere around 10-15m and helped me cross the threshold.
In season 22, my highest club rating had been 6012 and I never really pushed higher than that, doing my best to reconsolidate after making moves to get me to the 5501 level.
In season 23, my highest club rating was 5881 with lots of re-investment in the squad meaning the bank balance and average player rating were quite low.
Season 24 was when I decided to make the push and I reached the lofty heights of 6358 near the end of the season. Still, that wasn't enough so I needed to make a few more alterations this season to get me there.
average player rating, league performance (points/points per game)/league position, club value. Knowing those are much of what matters helps A TON in adjusting your squad to get over each threshold. So, what did I need to do to get to 6501? Well, my plan was an average player rating of 70 and a club value of 70M thinking that should get me there as long as I was top/near top of the league in Season 25.
The risky part was that the fixtures early in the season would have a big impact on how this worked and you don't know those until the day the season starts so I couldn't plan very well for this ? and it turned out the fixtures did matter as I had a more difficult beginning than the other strong teams in my league. I also foolishly promoted a youth in the middle which hurt my APR and had really unfortunate luck on being 3 club rating points shy of 6501 on the day my 7-day listings came back. After that miss, I sent out a series of 1-, 3- and 5- day listings and cobbled together some new staff, but not a complete set. I don?t know when I?ll be back above 6501 either, so will have to make do with what I have for at least a little while.
Preparatory Notes: Color indicates above/below 6501. PPG = points per game. Martyn was a fully-trained mid-50s both-footed centerback youth promotee that fetched 15.6m.

25 25 6320 59.9M 70 57 1 2.76 CR tanked due to big purchase of youngster. Goodbye 6501!
So why didn't this work smoothly? I promoted Parise in the middle of this and he dropped by average player rating by 2 which happened at a critical time. I also mis-timed my listings so I should have had them come back after my Inter Cup match when I knew I was going to get some cash, but I wasn't sure exactly how close I was going to be. After not making it with my initial 7-day adverts, I needed to not try to make any other moves in the transfer market and allow my CR to stay high for a little while - the major purchase of Ugochukwu essentially ended my ability to stay above 6501 and wait out better responses to my adverts.
Hopefully this helps some others when they think about making the assault on the next CR level.

Hello just reading through this as this is the aim for me before the end of the season.
I currently have a club value of 71.5m soon to go up to 75mill and a squad rating of 70, potentially to go up to 71 when the sale of a player goes through, but I?m still 300 points or so off?
Obviously I?m 5th currently and have a favourable run of games so I?m hoping that could improve but is there anything else I could do in the meantime or any particular players you would reccomend to sell/buy??

Sam If everything else were to stay the same, get your club valuation up to 100k and you should pass the threshold Sam. I've recently gone past it and seen the huge benefits of better staff but it took some ruthless decisions to sell players I would rather have kept.
Look at your squad and work out who you can cash in on even if it temporarily weakens your team. You'll reap the benefits in the coming seasons!

| hmmm.... it seems its harder than i thought to do this via cash/club value as increases in club value from selling players don't seem to keep increasing club ranking on a consistent path i.e. as it goes higher you seem to get less points for further increases.
Currently on 130 million club value, 65 average player rating and 5th place - and now about 230 points off... was expecting last few transfers to bump me closer than that, as previously seemed to go up by about 10points per million, but the last 12 million of player sales only seemed to have added about 50 points at most (if that, as those points prob came from the increase in apr achieved from the sales).
Was working on basis of needing to be in 4th place with apr of about 65, on basis that would leave me about 400 points off based on this post if my value was 70 million, so therefore would need about 50 million over that to get to 6501.... but it seems not....
Change of plan needed - might have to invest some cash in players/stadium before the taxman takes all the cash I've earnt this season chasing the goal
|
| I think 6501 is a super hard one to get, you need to be competing amongst the top clubs to get it but the gulf in class there is huge, as is the price increase on the players you need.
I hit 5501 this week so this is also the next challenge I'll face.

What you've missed is that CR points per million isn't decreasing, it stops completely after club value reaches 100m...

That explains a lot definitely time to enter the transfer market then!

I'm fairly confident I can get there next season - I think I need 3rd place, 100 million value and player rating 68/69.... asssuming I can hold onto this seasons league position, then once I sell the players on market atm I'll have the value sorted, and just need to get player rating up from 67 to 68/69... might basically just have to promote and sell a youngster or two, and then buy an ageing veteran to bump up the average but seems very doable

Mission accomplished 2nd in the league, player rating 69, club value over 100 million... Team rating 6545 and in negotiations with new staff atm
Get these contracts signed and then turn attention to beefing up the stadium, and potentially a new signing or two, and burn through some of this cash I've been hoarding

Well done, great achievement.
Will certainly make the MLS a tougher league.

| Could do with a favourable set of fixtures at the start of the upcoming season. Finished this season in 6th, 92 million in the bank and an average player rating of 70. Stuck on 6263 points. The money in the bank will take a hit on Sunday which is gonna set me back but wondering if selling a potential young superstar for big money next week and bringing in maybe a couple more highly rated (cheaper) old guys will push me up to 6501. It's a tricky balancing act, especially when it's a struggle to get into the top 3 when competing against teams that already have those better staff | |

This is where my team is approaching. We're lower on the cash front so I need to pump that up without paying too much tax and see how much more rating I have left to gain for 6501 thereafter.

ouch. Fingers crossed for the next update.
Currently Im 3rd in my league (just behind the top 2 on goal difference), have 88 million in the bank and have an average player rating of 72. I'm on 6378 points. Those last few are the hardest to get but I'll be getting over 10 million transfer fees in a couple of days so i'm hoping that gets me somewhere near

So today I hit exactly 6500
Just by my finger nails
Many, many seasons since I hit a new level
Advice please when to put in new staff adverts
Concecus seems to be put in 1 day adverts and 7 day adverts today, but concerned that as level is so fragile, we could easily drop below the threshold
