Youth Academy News - Capacity Increased to 12!
Where's the news gone about allowing 12 players in the youth academy?

It is still in draft - we're just waiting for the exact release date. Any time soon!

OK thanks Stripey, thought I was going mad. Is there any other surprises?

This is the first I've heard about this, how come it's not stickied to the news article front page like all the other news articles as the changes to second accounts or something was the last in there. The only way you can see this news article is to select another article and its to the right.

Surely even 6 clicks FS can agree this isn't right or rather could've been announced better or have I sleepwalked my way past a thread discussion as Ryan knew about it?

So the news article isn't legit then and was posted ahead of time or in error?

Seemed strange how it is there for all to see but is draft, surely you agree that's a bit daft to make public something that hasn't seemingly been discussed/mentioned in advance in forums or is only draft but says it's active now?

Come on NSSO, engage your brain, it's not that difficult.

We drafted an article ahead of time, there were several versions as it happens, at some point it got accidentally turned from draft to live and when we realised we changed it back to draft until the change had actually been made but Ryan had seen it in the meantime. Once the change was confirmed as live, the new article went live too.

Agree this is a very poor way of introducing something new to the game.

Only stumbled across it because looking for the transfer forum.

Even the news feed changes so infrequently I doubt i would have seen it for weeks/months.

Very strange way to announce this, I'll agree. Maybe I've been asleep but it seems to have come rather out of the blue. I certainly didn't see much "feedback" on the forum, as mentioned in the post.

I assume the likelihood of promotion remains the same, so you might have more players but all things being equal you'll still only get the same number of promotions? Ergo, more rejections?

Not a bad change from my point of view, gives people more flexibility for sure especially as the academy is now extremely powerful. I read the first few pages of the YA thread today, people getting excited about 50-rated youths!

Give them a break, guys. A lot of triple A studios mess up game update announcements, and IAG doesn't have a team of PR people to help them with it.

Let's just be grateful for the fact that we do have an update at all. It certainly gives hope for the future of the game.

That being said, I'm not sure I agree with the change. Presumably, it's going to be considerably easier to get a higher quality squad at a considerably lower price. The economy of the game is going to change a lot, and not necessarily for the better.

For me on a selfish level, it's great, as my entire first team is hopefully going to be powered by my youth academy in future- so long as the quality of youths isn't pulled down as a stealth nerf to make up for the academy size buff!

Anyone else lost all their youth scouting results?

Has anyone had any scouts returning youths at the 8pm update and are they in the youth reports page?

I've got some coming back tomorrow night so will be able to check then.

I had some return today yes and yes they are in the correct page,, but my previous reports from a few days ago all have (0) instead of their names now
