Memories of yesteryear
Come on, let's get talking again, throw me some names of past players, I remember Fooq or AFKAF. I did my first 2 million sale to Douala All Stars. Anyone out there?

The player which tipped me over the +6500 rating and who has just recently retired at the age of 37 was Amoldo Ceballos, a Spanish striker I bought for 6.6mil... Earlier in his career he played for "Radicals" in the Bundesliga and them "Kings Reserve" in Nigeria I think that team is?

He was only with me for a short time but helped the Dynamos to win a competitive Serie B, Silver and Gold inter cup and had a successful time in the Serie A scoring and assisting

On the day he retired I looked at his history and everything,,, He had 602 appearances and just over 500 goal contributions in his career

Amoldo Ceballos, we salute thee

bcagfc was my idol when I first joined IAG, always winning Aristotle's top division (if I recall the league name correctly, in IAG2) by a country mile. I never took a single point from any of my matches with him. When this version of IAG was launched I made sure to get signed up early because I knew he would too, and we'd still be in the same league. I won the league in my first season and he resigned after 13 games

I played early days in Neural in the original IAG (.Com)

My nemesis (but I wasn't his) was Hoopie (Superhoops). Just a great team. I remember his avatar was Hasselhof.

Those were the days!

Found this old thread (https://www.itsagoal.org/community/forums/viewforum.php?id=7E2A678D803B05FC526F577EF96319A3&p=2)

... Looks like I won Div 2 in Season 3. Crazy to think each league was 8 divisions deep!

I think there were 10 divisions of 20 teams in 22 leagues in the first IAG2 version.
We got up to about 4,400 managers.

I remember my first team secretary was Bewoulf Seboum. I also remember the old match reports where a player was 'very relieved to see the referee only produce a yellow card' after a particular challenge.
I seem to remember one top player was The Real Mutu, a pokemon character my son informed me

So many great managers from the early days of IAG2.

Back then, some managers did short revies of their latest league match.

One really good manager from then, ManosTop, invariably weon his league games by 3 or 4 to nil.

He always, but every single time, began his reviews:

'Was a tough game.'

I remember I started a countdown from a million thread and TOPGUN locked it. That was hilarious it was getting too much traction, probably would have been finished by now.

Oh I remember Mr Chicken_Curry. I once did an interview with him on the forum.

I can't for the life of me think why!

Nah. The bosses shut it about 7 or 8 years ago.

Presently are there only 312 managers - A I assume the 312 includes 2nd accounts. Any plans for trying to build up the player base?

Any potential for a revamp of IAG? I seem to recall there was a previous (early 2000's era of IAG - but my memory could be failing me).
