Anyhow, none were worth promoting to the academy

I can't see this making any difference to me as neither team has managed to have more than 5 youth players at the same time in living memory.

Good news, if the scouts bring back any youths worth putting in the academy, but it's good to have that flexibility of space now.
I totally missed the news as I dont look at the news when I log in as it changes so rarely, maybe a msg to all managers might work better in future when it's a big change like this?

Or maybe everyone should just look at the News every so often? Word gets around pretty quickly after something is announced there, anyway, so anything new will soon find its way on to the forums.

The youth report page problem is ongoing.

Day 5, I had some players in the list and also some blanks in the list..

Day 5/6 update, my scouts found another bunch of players, they were there in the list and could be viewed. plus there were still some blank players in the list.

Day 6/7 update almost all of them are now blank. I have only two youths that I can select and view. I think one was a new find from the previous day and one was an older find.. The rest (about 12) have a place in the list but there are no details and can't be selected..

So currently, unless you sign a youth on the first day, there's a high chance he'd going to become unavailable the next day. At least that's what I'm seeing on my youth report page.

The news feed has had 3 updates in the last 4 years so you could probably give sympathy to those that don?t look too often.

I'm afraid I disagree with you here, stripey. I have a very high level of attention to detail, and I wouldn't have seen the update if it hadn't been mentioned in the forums.

We probably have in the region of 200-250 managers, when you take 2nd accounts into consideration, and probably only around 30-50 of them read this forum regularly. I'd bet that over half of managers still aren't aware of this change.

I agree with Andy that a standard message could easily be crafted and sent to all active (club-running) managers whenever a news item is released, with a link to the news page on it. Something along the lines of "Dear Manager, a new News Item has been posted today. Please view it here. Kind regards, IAG Admin team." Nothing flashy, but it'll be hard for managers to miss things then.

I know mass PMs have been sent out in the past but I'm not sure the mod team can do it. I think only Ron can.

Well, since Ron is presumably involved in the vast majority of news items anyway, it would surely not be too hard for him to be able to send out a standard mass PM at the same time, right? Surely it would be possible to have the stock PM similar to what I suggested above that he could literally just hit one button to send it out? I don't know, maybe it's hard than I think it is. But it would be very welcome, especially for managers that don't get involved so much in the community, I'd think.

Any change to how the game works is welcome in my opinion, so long as it is to the benefit of game play rather than detracting from it.

I think posting a topic would reach most active managers, as whilst only a few contribute these days, you can bet there are more that read the forums without contributing. I generally do.

Any update on this, or when it will be fixed? I accepted a suboptimal youth yesterday so as not to miss on him. Fortunately my other scouts brought back trash anyway, and for my seconds he should be good enough anyway.

I did message Ron who replied that he would look later if he could.

I have the same issue my scouts returned with only 3 players i can vew the rest i can not see anything.
