Anyone can schedule and play 'reserve matches'. They have an impact on players' attributes such as match fitness, experience, maybe others too, and you could get injuries. They can be played any Wednesday or Saturday, or in the final days of the season.
'Friendly matches' are for subscribers only and do not affect players' attributes, also yellow / red cards do not count. They can be played any day of the week.
