And despite the changes to the system my best youth who has been in my academy since 14 has not accepted a contract after turning 18

Also lost a 76-rated youth a few days ago. He had been in the academy for four seasons, since he was 13 years old. Pretty disappointing that though, the News item on youth changes doesn't say whether anything has changed with the promotion algorithm, just some hints on how best to increase your chances.. Amazing, that's two in the 90s that have been mentioned here recently...It's promising news though they will, I guess, be pretty rare.

Meanwhile, my youth scouts' habits of offering wildly unbalanced players continued with a 90/66/1 find this week.

I had a youth returned at 86 twelve days ago and he is now 90.

He is 17 though, so chances of promotion seem low

He actually improved a point on Sunday, 91 now!

thats good to hear as I found an 82 rated player with extremely balanced stats, also 17 so Idk how much time he has to improve, hopefully nearly a full season.

when I found him wasn't expecting so balanced but I guess when you find high rated players they can't really be as unbalanced as a lower rated player but, I hope he can reach 86+ rating too.

too bad, I'm sure that you will find more now though, and you probably don't have to have so many that you take from a young age too.

Just had exactly the same thing happen to me. 80 rated, been here since he was 14. Now 17 almost 18, tried to promote him, he said no thankyou and tootled off.

Not impressed.

I just had a player who improved when the new youth system came in. He was 60 in the youth team which is really good for my team which doesn't have very good players. Luckily he promoted today.
