Coming to this late as it was a busy weekend but - all things considered, a good season. Fourth in the league secured again, the first time I've managed it twice in a row. Took a few points off the top three, and if I'd won the two games I was hoping to instead of drawing then...I'd still have been fourth, but only a point or two behind third. As ever, third is a bridge too far but I'll aim to solidify fourth for now.

Best ever performance in the Super Cup (Round 7), Quarters in the League Cup (slight disappointment) and the less said about the Inter Cup the better. One day I will reach the Quarters.

Squad rating continues to creep up and my maximum matchday preview is now 83, with a few players still improving to push it up to 84 or maybe even 85 if I'm lucky this season. The only area that causes me concern is my forwards, as I need another superstar to partner up with Barker - however, my new hole player should do a good job.

Only two more improvements needed to max out my stadium, and my finger is hovering over the button for one of them.

The most pride I'll take away from Season 61 however, is finally reaching 7,000 points. I'm steadily climbing, just 500 more to go.

As for me...well I'll freely admit that it was a difficult season, but not without its positives.

On field there were a lot of defeats but a few surprise draws (including another one today ) and I did reach the top-14 spot I was challenged to

Green shoots: Several good quality players came and are coming through the youth academy, including a superstar that I'm going to put on the TM soon. I reached a 70 matchday preview and with a few 80s-FAs players training up that should only improve. Made a pretty substantial stadium improvement and have maintained attendances.

This season is again going to be focused on squad building, trying to turn over my aging and poor quality midfield and replace them with the much better youths coming through. A mid-table finish is only a handful of season away I feel.

Season 62

Another season comes and goes with only the Super Cup final to come today.

And it was another successful season for us on and off the pitch. We broke our League points tally record again, and we needed to, because it was barely- barely- enough to claim 6th place again. Commiserations to San Diego Kickers who pushed us all the way... with 1 minute of the season left to play were were in 7th place on goals scored and that last minute goal to win 3-1 and boost our goal difference by 1 was sweet

League Cup went better than last season (it could hardly be worse) in reaching round 4 but we got knocked out a round earlier in the Super Cup, both to better teams than us. The real stand out was our second foray into the Inter Cup where we reached the semi-finals of the Platinum Shield, inevitably losing to the eventual winners, Insmouth Cheetahs (don't ask what they were doing in the supposedly easier competition...)

The squad continues to grow in size as we successfully promoted another 5 youths this season. One of them turned out with FAs in the 90s as I'd hoped and is training brilliantly, and the others were mostly solid FA 80s players as expected. We also broke our club record for highest transfer fees received and spent, but selling a youth striker for 55M and signing a FA 90s centreback for 18M is very pleasing, and it allowed us to expand the stadium by a further 5000 seats as well without making a loss over the season.

Club rating also continues to improve despite dropping a few APR rating points with the youths being promoted. It's going to be a long grind to get to the next staff level, but we're at least on the right path.

I'm going ambitious for next season- I want to challenge for 5th place and go one round further in one of the cups than we've ever been before. The squad is ready for it, now it's up to me to get the tactics right.

first half of the season i went 6-3-10 lingering in 14th. second half, 11-3-5 climbing up and finished solid 10th.
league cup i went out to peregrinos in the quarters for the second season in a row. super cup, went out to inter milager.

as a bonus i was able to increase ticket prices and got my best total gate since five seasons ago.
slowly creeping on a come up.

I won't mention the platinum shield but Season 62 for the runaway train was another record breaker, reaching the QF of the league cup and losing in round 5 of the super cup to a superior New Justland... All of the all time records here (apart from the bad ones and biggest win) are now mine is

In the Serie A we improved alot and with help from our record signing Midge Phelp (ex Blind Monkey) we managed to take 4 points from the mighty Blind Monkeys and very nearly finished 4th (certainly punching above our weight)

Thankfully the Dynamos have had some decent youth additions because like I've said previously, very soon a few of our elderly experienced stars will be retiring after very successful careers here and elsewhere

We are still riding on the crest of a wave which was triggered by the record sale of Fornisson and I'm trying my best not to spend much and keep enough quality within the team to keep riding the wave before it crashes and hopefully with a few wise transfers and possible future wonderkids to train up we can continue riding the wave for a long time

CHOOO! CHOOO! All aboard, full steam ahead.

A solid season, in what could have been a "great" season for many reasons. We made it back over the 7501 threshold for staff, the scout network is now well established and the higher bracket of coaches has meant our players who'd declined since the club reset have trained back towards their potential.

We lost 2-1 in the cup final to Bubba after extra time, and finished second in the league to Olympians by a single point.

Can we go one step better in the league and cup next season? Fingers crossed!

Another late addition to this thread - and another fourth placed finish, though still quite a way off the top three for now. Cups were more or less the same as usual.

I improved my APR by one point and my max matchday preview reaches 85 now, which I'm pretty pleased with.

Only got one player out of the YA this season but I'm hoping for a few more this time around.

I managed to maintain my rating above 7,000 all season and even added another 100 points to my 'baseline'. Another couple of seasons of that and if I can improve my rating by 2-3 points then 7501 is almost in reach. I think third is still out of reach but if I can get it within a couple of points I'll be pretty made up.

For Runnymede Rangers it was pretty much the same as S61 in terms of finished 10th in the league and got through 3 to 4 rounds in both cups.

What is different is our stadium is complete (42,600 capacity) but our attendances have plummeted and therefore our ticket prices and revenue have suffered also

We are in overdraft (just) but hopefully not for too much longer if the transfer market comes good.

Hopefully we stopped the rot in S62 and we improve in S63 and beyond!

Yanchester City seem to be gradually moving in the right direction.

The new stand opened during the season pushing gate receipts over 550k, we managed to turn in a modest 7m profit over the season and have started building a new 1000 seat corner on the third tier. Semi finalists in the league cup (and a more typical 4th round exit in the IAG cup) was also pretty good going in a hard league. Talking about the league, we?re hovering just above mid table and can usually muster an average player rating of around 77 or 78 which I hope to improve on in time.

Going forward I guess it?ll be small increments of improvement, selling the odd player here and there to try to turn a profit, hoping to promote some 80+ youngsters from the academy, replacing the high earners as they reach retirement. Just trying to build a healthy foundation.
