So I have had a quiet time scouting decent youths. Best I normally get is a 50/60 rated 13/14year old.

Yesterday I bag a scout a Defensive Mid, age 14 rated 90.

Stats are 88, 90, 93.

I have never had a youth rated so high straight off the scout.

Patience rewarded!

He's got the worst tackling of any of my fully-trained defenders It was a bit disappointing when tackling stopped improving, but overall I can't complain, I'm delighted with him

He?s got 4 days left, coaches have said no more improvement and time for next stage, so fingers crossed here goes!

He's right though, Fishman's tackle rating is a bit crappie. Luckily he's not my sole left-footed central defender, I may sell one of them, not sure yet but I'll mullet over. He needs to perform well to get a plaice in my team.

Scouts turned up a quite extraordinary youth prospect today. Named Vali Danilov, he's a tall, muscular Romanian fullback aged 16.

His stats?

Physical, 91 (wow...)
Mental, 98 (incredible!)

So near...and yet so far

Is that 98 mental as in he doesn't let little set backs like not being able to trap a bag of sand put him off...

...or as in he's properly mental to think he'll ever make it as a footballer

Think, maybe i'll have my first 100 rated player in a couple seasons, My GK is still perfectly balanced at 70/70/70 and i got him in at 50 50 50 so it's looking good.

although knowing my luck he will get to 18 and not get to 100/100/100

I imagine another ex-field athlete, maybe a discus thrower, who following on from some sporting success now thinks he can become a football player too.

After 3 seasons of basically putting his feet up in the academy because he was already good enough, Finian Holme joined the first team today. He'd improved by only a single point in his 3 seasons but when you're already rated 98, why even bother?

This means we have now had 6 of our last 8 promoted youths have FAs all in the 90s and the other 2 have all 80s and 90s. The future of the club is looking brighter than ever.
