Nice! I was soon going to ask if anyone has successfully taken a very young lowly rated youth and seen the progress which you have with your goalkeeper,, good to know
|
| I got a message today saying one of my youths has reached his potential, at rating 83 aged 17. Has anyone experienced gains with any youths who had also received this message or is it time to promote? | |

You might see an improvement by one or two points but nothing more, in my experience

Well that is a real disappointment I thought high 80s would have been the worst outcome

| Lucas Jolles joined the senior squad this evening, very happy with his promotion. | |

One of them's rubbish, might actually kill him off, but the others range from 86-95 rated, don't really want to lose any of them.
2nd one looks good, keeper Kinnaird, all 90s

| Just taken
Chioke Ibeto into the youth academy,
First decent youth we?ve found for quite some time.
Rated 79 aged 14 with pretty even stats all round
|
| Peter Westmacott successfully promoted during the update, having reached 100 rating the previous day, 3 days before his 18th birthday. He has not disappointed. Lowest FA 94. Very tasty. | |

Lowest FA 94. Very tasty. It's nice not to be disappointed with a 100-rated youth. I've had two or three, and they've all been let down (a bit) by a lowest FA of 90 or 91.

Fingers crossed that there's good news in three or four seasons' time.

| I am still finding it a struggle to get balanced players.
I have 4 x 16 year olds currently... 3 x 80s rated and 1 x 60s rated & none will be world beaters.
I am painfully aware that unless I spend money on the transfer market, I won't be as competitive in my league as I have in these past few seasons, so I am on the look out for one or two young players already trained and my youths will most likely be transfer listed, as my focus is on my manager & club rating.

| M Miranda accepted promotion on his 18th birthday.
That's 3 promotions and 3 all 90s players, not a bad return on investment.

Really? Before I promoted Westmacott, 3 of the youths in my academy were perfectly balanced and 4 others had less than 10 points between their lowest and highest stat. I've found that if you're patient, they do turn up.

| Does the game masters or developer have a cure for FatFingerVitas? Whilst declining-deleting my results, ive accidentally promoted a player into the youth academy from my scout reports which I didn't want .... | |
|
| This is exactly why I don't even bother declining youths. I just leave them in my youth reports until they drift away 5 days later. Sorry, Kane, it's going to have to be a lesson learned this time- hopefully not too expensive a lesson, hopefully it was a 11-12 youth you clicked on by mistake? Although, a season of a lost YA slot is probably more painful than the cost of recruiting one by mistake... | |

Nooo! I didn't have any beer (honest) it was pure FatFinger... Anyhow congrats on that +6500 Firesilver,, I don't hold any confidence in myself or my team but looking forward to next seasons inter cup
And yes luckily it was a 11yr old, short skinny english goalkeeper (worst of a bad bunch) only 30k but yes, still a pain to nurture for 56 days
